Wallabies really CLOSE

Hello from the other side of the world

On the weekend 8th and 9th of February it was very hot and we went to a swimming spot near Bright. It was really good to cool down in the water. On Monday we had an ordinary day in school in P12 –College. But on Friday we had something new. We had to decide who will be the “home class-leader”.  We decided for a year 11 student. She was in Germany, too.

Last Sunday we  went to the Mansfield zoo. We had a great time there. There you can pet and feed wallabies, deer and ducks. As well as camels, African deer and Kakadu.  After 3 hours we went to a nearby river and enjoyed the refreshing water. At a quarter to 4 we returned to the zoo for the feeding of the lions, monkeys and alligators. They have an albino kangaroo, too.

It was a great experience in the zoo to see the wallabies so close to you. It was very interesting to see how the lions were fed. I was a little bit scared about the wallabies, because if they stand on their toes they are as tall as me!

Yours MIA

    Hi Mia,
schön, dass Du Deinen 2. Bericht schon so gut in Englisch verfasst hast. Ich kann mir richtig gut vorstellen und auch nachempfinden, wie Du Dich neben den großen Kängurus gefühlt hast. Mir wäre es wahrscheinlich ähnlich gegangen.
